وی لیسانس بازرگانی خود را در ایران اخذ کرد. سپس در رشته‌های مدیریت کسب و کار و فایننس در مقطع فوق لیسانس در آلمان ادامه تحصیل داد. وی یکی از اعضای مجموعه فعالان حقوق بشر در ایران بود و همچنین با مرکز مطالعات لیبرالیسم و چراغ آزادی (اطلس) همکاری داشته است. وی در حال حاضر مدیر مرکز ترویج جامعه باز است. زمینه تحقیقاتی و مطالعاتی او در این سالها بورس، ابزارهای مالی و سرمایه گذاری است.

روزنامه‌نگار و پژوهشگر علوم سیاسی است. وی در سال ۲۰۱۵ مدرک دکترای علوم سیاسی خود را در گرایش اقتصاد سیاسی با موضوع درآمدهای نفتی و گذار به دموکراسی در ایران از دانشگاه USM در مالزی اخذ کرد. او پیش از ترک ایران با روزنامه‌های متعددی همکاری کرد و به عضویت «انجمن صنفی روزنامه‌نگاران ایران» درآمد و همزمان در چندین گروه دانشجویی به فعالیت پرداخت. از وی تاکنون مقالات و یادداشت‌های فراوانی در نشریات و وبسایت‌های مطرح منتشر شده است. نجدی همچنین به عنوان پژوهشگر با مطرح‌ترین فعالان سیاسی و حقوق بشری ایران گفتگو کرده است.
